Fennel will be attending the gather of the Traditional Fisherman's Forum. Expect plenty of tea drinking and cake eating, and maybe some fishing.

Fennel, along with Friends of the Priory Mark Aspell and John Naish, will be partaking in a day's driven game shooting.


Flyfishers' Club Annual Dinner

6 November 2014 – Mandarin Oriental, Knightsbridge, London, UK

Mandarin Oriental London

Fennel will be present at the 'scribes table' along with Fred Buller and Theo Pike, at the annual dinner of the Flyfishers' Club.


Writing Retreat

4 November 2014 – Lake District, UK

Lake District

Fennel will be up in the lakes, writing the Lighter Side edition of Fennel's Journal. He'll also be meeting up with our Friends from Millican.


River Cottage Game Cookery

15 November 2014 – Axminster, Devon, UK

Fennel River Cottage

Fennel and Friends will be enjoying a day's game butchery and cooking tuition courtesy of the River Cottage chefs. Afterwards he'll be presenting to Rob Love, MD of River Cottage, about his ideas for a behind-the-scenes 'River Cottage Uncooked' series showing a year of self-sufficiency on the farm.

Friends Weekend

19 September 2014 – Arundell Arms, Devon, UK

Fennel's Priory Arundell Arms 2014

Fennel will be hosting the annual Friends dinner – and celebrating his 40th birthday – at the Arundell Arms. The event will be held over a weekend, with trout and salmon fishing available on the hotel's rivers.


Wychwood Forest Fair

8 September 2014 – Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, UK

Fennel will be on the Wildnerss Pioneers stand, demonstrating bushcraft firelighting techniques, at this year's Wychwood Forest Fair.

Fennel, along with Friends Martin Herrington, Stu Harris and Jon Berry, will be fishing Redmire Pool for an Angling Times article to celebrate 80 years since the carp were stocked into this legendary water. Read the story.

King Carp Adventure

30 June 2014 – FLE Fishery, Hampshire, UK

FLE Top Lake

Fennel, along with Friends Stu Harris, Graham Mabey, John Summers and Tim Pike will be fishing for big carp at FLE Top Lake in Hampshire. It will be Fennel's first time fishing for king carp in nearly ten years.


The Tweed Run

17 May 2014 – London, UK

Fennel's Priory Tweed Run 2014

Fennel, John Summers, and 500 other dyed-in-the-tweed traditionalists will be participating in the Tweed Run. Come along to wave and holla as we pass London's iconic landmarks.
